Collaborative Health today announced a strategic realignment of its Walk-In Care and Occupational Health services designed to expand patient access, enhance convenience, and position the organization for future growth.
Beginning Monday, July 27, 2026, Collaborative Health will open its new Walk-In Care location at the Collaborative Healthplex, offering extended hours seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
To support this expansion:
- Walk-In Care services at Wards Road will relocate to the Healthplex.
- Walk-In Care services at Candlers Mountain will relocate to the Healthplex.
- Walk-In Care services currently provided in Amherst will transition to the Madison Heights location, which will expand its hours to Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Additionally, the Candlers location will become the new home of Collaborative Health Workplace & Occupational Health Services, serving employers and employees throughout the region, including existing partnerships with BWXT and Delta Star. The dedicated Occupational Health Center will operate Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

"By bringing our Walk-In Care teams together at the Healthplex and expanding our Occupational Health services, we're creating a model that allows us to better meet the needs of patients today while preparing for future growth."
The transition will occur according to the following schedule:
- Last day at Walk-In Care – Amherst: Thursday, July 23, 2026
- Last day at Walk-In Care – Wards Road: Friday, July 24, 2026
- Last day at Walk-In Care – Candlers: Sunday, July 26, 2026
- First day at Walk-In Care – Healthplex: Monday, July 27, 2026
Collaborative Health emphasized that the changes do not represent a reduction in services, hours, staff, or providers.
"In fact, we're continuing to grow," Crawford added. "This realignment allows us to be better stewards of our resources while continuing to recruit additional providers and team members to serve our communities."
The new Walk-In Care location at the Collaborative Healthplex will provide patients with convenient access to same-day care in a centralized setting alongside a growing network of healthcare services under one roof.
