Lynchburg, Virginia - Collaborative Health Partners (CHP), a leading provider of healthcare services, is pleased to announce its acquisition of Physicians Treatment Center (PTC), effective August 1, 2024. This strategic move will enable Collaborative Health Partners to enhance its Workplace Health and Walk-In-Care services and strengthen its commitment to delivering high-quality care to the community.

The acquisition will leverage the expertise of Dr. Matt Tatom, a highly respected physician in the field of primary and occupational health services. Dr. Tatom's extensive experience and deep understanding of the industry will play a vital role in expanding CHP’s capabilities and improving the overall patient experience.

One of the key objectives of this acquisition is to maintain the exceptional healthcare services for which PTC has become well known.  CHP recognizes the importance of preserving the trust and relationships the center has built with its patients and the community at large for the last 40+ years. As such, all existing patient relationships and employer agreements will remain in place ensuring a seamless transition for everyone involved.

With this acquisition, CHP aims to further its mission of providing comprehensive, accessible, and patient-centered healthcare solutions. By combining the strengths of both organizations, CHP will be able to offer an expanded range of services and deliver even greater value to the employer community, to include direct primary care, workers’ compensation care, occupational health screenings and an array of physicals.

"We are thrilled to welcome Physicians Treatment Center into the Collaborative Health Partners family," said Shawn Crawford, CEO at CHP. "This acquisition represents an exciting opportunity to enhance our Workplace Health and Walk-In-Care services and continue delivering exceptional care to the community. We look forward to working closely with Dr. Tatom and the entire team at Physicians Treatment Center to ensure a smooth transition and seamless integration for all.”

Dr. Tatom added, “I am excited about the possibilities this collaboration brings. The Physicians Treatment Center Team and I are honored to be joining the Collaborative Health Partners family and look forward to expanding our reach and providing excellent care for our community well into the future.”

Collaborative Health Partners remains committed to the highest standards of patient care and will continue to explore innovative solutions to meet the evolving healthcare needs of the community. The organization remains dedicated to providing accessible and personalized healthcare services that improve the health and well-being of individuals and businesses alike.
